Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using I Forgot the List ("the Service"), including the web application at iforgotthelist.com and the browser extension, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

Description of Service

I Forgot the List is a grocery management platform that helps users:

• Build smart grocery lists based on purchase history
• Import and track grocery receipts from supported stores
• Automatically clip digital coupons
• Connect email accounts to automatically import receipts
• Analyze spending patterns and savings

Account Registration

To use the Service, you must:

• Create an account using a valid email address
• Be at least 13 years of age
• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

Household Accounts

The Service supports shared household accounts. When you invite others to your household, they will have access to shared purchase history, grocery lists, and connected store accounts. You are responsible for managing access to your household.

Store Connections

The Service allows you to connect third-party store accounts (such as Fred Meyer, Costco, Target, and Whole Foods) to import purchase history and clip coupons. By connecting a store account, you:

• Authorize us to access your purchase data from that store
• Acknowledge that we interact with the store's website on your behalf
• Can revoke access at any time through your settings

Email Integrations

The Service allows you to connect email accounts (such as Gmail) to automatically import grocery receipts. By connecting an email account, you:

• Grant read-only access to your email for the purpose of finding grocery receipts
• Acknowledge that we only search for emails from recognized grocery store senders
• Can disconnect your email at any time through your settings

We do not read, store, or process emails unrelated to grocery receipts. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service
• Share your account credentials with others outside your household

Subscriptions and Payments

Some features of the Service may require a paid subscription. If you purchase a subscription:

• You agree to pay the fees associated with your selected plan
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date
• You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings
• Refunds are handled in accordance with our refund policy

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and content, is owned by I Forgot the List and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any data you provide to the Service, including purchase history and grocery lists.

Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Service Availability

We strive to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• We are not responsible for the accuracy of imported purchase data
• We are not liable for any actions taken by third-party store websites
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the preceding 12 months

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support. Upon termination, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via the Service or email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
